| ESSENTIAL OILS
Essential Oils are the concentrated extracts of plants and flowers. Thought of as the life force of the plant, they are found in various parts such as leaves, seeds, flowers, roots and grasses.
Essentials oils are used for common ailments such as colds, coughs, muscle ache, insomnia, stress and fatigue. Used through inhalation and/or skin application it can be used daily to promote health and well being. The most common methods are massage, bath and diffusion. Because essentials oils are highly concentrated, they are usually diluted in carrier oils.
(Organic jojoba, hazelnut, sesame, or sunflower)
Pure undiluted oils if properly stored can last many years. However, exposure to air can cause a decline in an essential oil's scent and therapeutic effectiveness. Oils should be stored in dark, glass bottles with tight fitting lids in a cool, dark place. To prevent oxidation, protect your oils from air, heat and light. Because essentials oils are concentrated their strengths can dissolve plastic as well as rubber droppers, so glass is highly recommended.
